The Ilford and District Christian Football League is a church football league which aims to bring men into a Christian Football environment and connect unchurched men to church. Each team is required to have genuine affiliation with a local church, and a rep together with a core of players who are wholly supportive and active in demonstrating the Christian ethos of the league. Our own Chris Scott is the chaplain of the league and may even lace up the old boots once or twice this coming season! Our primary goal is to build a positive Christian witness, but we are also passionate about the game and believe that our standard of football is high and getting better each year. We really do believe this is London’s Premier Christian Football League. Click the video icon to check out the brand new league promo video.
The IDCFL has around 20 teams in two divisions and there are two cup competitions. All the games are played on Saturday mornings at Wanstead Flats, Aldersbrook Road, London E11 2LT. The league is ably supported by a team of excellent referees. If you are interested in playing or becoming a referee please speak to us at the Bridge (0208 505 5001). Check out the league website and twitter by clicking here or on the IDCFL logo on the right of the page.
The Bridge Church has entered teams in the league for many years now and will be again be entering a team for the 2017-2018 season. We are having a facelift this year and will be building with new younger players and a stronger connection to the church.
The team is run by a group of leaders from the church and if you are interested in playing (over 16yrs) then please contact the Bridge office on 0208 505 5001.
