We really value passionate worship and praise within Bridge Church and count it our highest privilege to be able to praise God in freedom. We worship first and foremost because God is worthy of it, but also because it expresses the joy the we have found and as we do so we become more aware of his beautiful and awesome presence.
Our style of music is quite contemporary though we celebrate diversity as we draw inspiration from many different sources. Our goal always is to lift the name of Jesus and create an environment for God to speak prophetically into our gatherings.
We have a passionate worship team at the Bridge and each one is primarily committed to being a worshipper in their own life. Jesus said he is looking for ‘worshippers’ who come to him in ‘spirit and truth’ not just people who ‘do’ worship. This requires a lifestyle of worship not just a skill in singing or playing an instrument. We try to express this truth : that worship is a spiritual activity for all rather than a musical performance for some.
Out of an overflow of that personal passion for Jesus they minister as part of the team. We want our worship times together to be relaxed and accessible to all, yet full of intent and devotion. We encourage the use of prophetic gifts and believe that participation of the whole body in this ministry is vital, even the kids! We are enthusiastic and free in our praise times and look to build a platform for the Holy Spirit to move powerfully amongst us.
Our worship team is led by Stewart Elman. You can contact him by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
